September <br />Coal Creek Stream Clean -up (Volunteer Event} <br />When: TBD from 10:00 to 12:00 pm <br />Where: TBD <br />Presented by: Keep It Clean Partnership <br />Appropriate Audience: Ages 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult <br />Join the Keep It Clean Partnership (KICP) to clean trash and debris from the Coal Creek riparian <br />zone. Learn more about the effects of flooding on Coal Creek, flood flow dynamics in the <br />riparian zone, and the flora and fauna found along Coal Creek. Please bring gloves and sturdy <br />shoes. <br />October <br />Davidson Mesa Restoration D olunteer Eve <br />When: TBD <br />Where: Davidson Mesa Open Sp <br />Presented by: City of Louisville Open Space <br />Appropriate Audience: ages <br />Come and learn about what the Open Space Division is doiri <br />area and be a part of the process! Volunteers will assist staff by collecting native seed for future <br />restoration projects, work on trail rehabilitation, and help with noxious weed removal. <br />Volunteers will also learn about some of our native and non - native plants and meet members of <br />your community. Please wear sunscreen and closed -toe shoes and be prepared for weather. <br />Snacks will be provided. <br />on Davidson Mesa to restore the <br />Birds of Prey <br />When: TBD <br />Where: Louisville Library, 1st Floor Meeting Room (951 Spruce Street) <br />Presented by: Rocky Mountain Raptor Program <br />Hosted by: City of Louisville Open Space Division <br />Appropriate Audience: All ages <br />The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program will bring live raptors and utilize creative props, <br />recorded sounds and a wide variety of interactive tools to inspire us to realize the beauty and <br />importance of raptors, as well as an understanding of their place in the natural <br />world. Participants will learn about raptor biology, natural ecology and the natural <br />environment they live in. <br />8 <br />Additional Educational Programming may be added as program locations and dates become <br />available.
