were any possible renovations they would be minor. The task force is now deciding <br />whether to renovate /add onto the rec center or construct a completely new building. She <br />also let us know that the library bond is going to be paid off soon and that if we needed <br />more funds we were going to have to pass a bill. She also said that for members <br />interested in this task force that there is a tour she took and an informational booklet. <br />IX. Monthly Volunteer Project - On January 21st, YAB members will be going to the First <br />Methodist Church to volunteer at the soup kitchen from 4:45 -6:30 PM <br />X. Trek The Trails Project Planning - YAB members went around the room and shared <br />game ideas and raffle ideas for the event day. Among the suggestions the prominent <br />ones were the rubber duck game, cornhole, and and ladders a well as possible mention <br />of inflatables. Raffle ideas were discussed as well and the main ideas were gift cards to <br />outdoorsy places as well as possibly hiking supplies. <br />YAB also decided to create a logo for the contest /event as well. It was briefly discussed <br />holding a competition to create a logo but was decided that there was not enough time. <br />Jay Keany brought up that it would have to be a one color logo. Brigette, Kaylix, Caelis, <br />and Tyler L. all volunteered to create a logo. The deadline for the logo will be January <br />21st. <br />Next YAB decided on the date for the Trek the Trails event. It will be June 4th which is <br />also National Trails Day as well as Louisville's Touch a Truck event. The event will take <br />place from 9:30 -11:00 AM. Mandy let YAB know that inflatables probably would not be <br />possible at the event as it was being held at the Arboretum and there was a lot of <br />xeriscape land there. <br />Next prizes were discussed. Mandy brought up differentiating the prizes between adults <br />children. Addie suggested doing a raffle that adults would be interested in. Kaylix then <br />requested volunteers to solicit gift cards from. Kendall, Hayley Addie, Kaelan, Kaylix, <br />and Caelis all volunteered to go to places such as Sweet Cow, REI, and Jax, Via <br />Toscana, Vic's Espresso, and Moxie Bread Company. The main idea was to keep a lot <br />of the gift cards local to Louisville. Kaylix set the deadline for these gift cards by the next <br />meeting. <br />XI. Other Boards and Commissions: Kaelan shared that she went to the Golf Course <br />Board and learned that the youngest child and the oldest senior would get together to do <br />something like plant flowers. YAB decided that they would be interested in participating <br />in this and Kaelan said she'd get back to them with more information. Brooke went to the <br />City Council meeting and learned that the NASA exhibit was coming into the Louisville <br />Library and there was an increase in salary for the Municipal Judge. Finn went to the <br />McCaslin meeting to plan the developments and said that they decided that there will be <br />more bus stations that run more frequently through Louisville. They were also debating <br />what to do with some space in Louisville and the general preference was that the newly <br />
