BYLAWS OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />ARTICLE I <br />The Commission <br />Section 1. Introduction. These Bylaws of the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission are adopted pursuant to the authority stated in the Louisville Home Rule <br />Charter, Ordinance No. 1401, Series 2002, Resolution No. 34, Series 2002, Resolution <br />No. 20, Series 2009, Resolution No. 20, Series 2010, Resolution No. 2, Series 2012, <br />Resolution No. 2, Series 2014, and Resolution No. 4, Series 2014. <br />Section 2. Office. The office of the Commission shall be considered the <br />Louisville City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027, or such other place in the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado as the City Manager may designate from time to time. <br />Section 3, Purpose and Duties. <br />A. Quasi- Judicial. The Commission shall have the powers and functions <br />specified in the ordinances of the City. <br />B Duties. The role of the Commission will include, but not be limited to, advising <br />the City Council on such matters as: <br />(i) Landmarking of Historic Buildings <br />(ii) Alterations to Historic Buildings <br />(iii) Demolition of Historic Buildings <br />(iv) incentives for Historic Preservation <br />(v) Utilization of the Historic Preservation Fund <br />(vi) Outreach and Education on Historic Preservation Issues <br />C Certified Local Government. The Commission shall fulfill the requirements of <br />a qualified Historic Preservation Commission per the Colorado State Historic <br />Preservation Office standards for Certified Local Govemments. <br />ARTICLE II <br />Members <br />Section 1. Number of Members. The Commission shall consist of seven (7) <br />members whom City Council shall appoint. <br />Page 1 of 14 <br />
