Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 11, 2016 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />Haley accepted the nomination. <br />Approved by voice vote. <br />Haley nominated Koertje as vice chair. <br />Stewart seconded. <br />Approved by voice vote. <br />Haley asked if anyone would like to volunteer as the Historical Commission <br />liaison. <br />Fahey nominated Haley to continue as the liaison. <br />The board approved the nomination. <br />Historic Preservation Ordinance Changes <br />Trice presented the approved ordinance changes. She said they will go into <br />effect on January 14th <br />Koertje asked how long it takes for the municipal code to be codified. <br />Trice stated she wasn't sure, but stated ordinances come into effect 30 days after <br />they have been approved. <br />Demolition Reviews <br />Trice stated there weren't any demolition reviews in December. <br />Updates from Commission Members <br />Fahey had a request for an update for the NAPC conference and who was going. <br />Trice stated we have not heard back from the grant application, but said if the <br />grant doesn't come through we can see how we can fund through our budget. <br />She also mentioned early bird registration for the CPI conference is soon. <br />Fahey asked about the historic survey process for downtown. <br />Trice stated that is also part of the grant application we haven't heard from. <br />Fahey stated she heard the story map was proceeding. <br />Trice stated it is and moving along quickly, thanks to the board and Bridget <br />Bacon. <br />
