Study Sessions are generally held <br />the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at the <br />Library, 951 Spruce Street, at 7:00 PM. <br />BUSINESS RETENTION & <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />The BRaD Committee is a City Council committee <br />comprised of three City Council members and represen- <br />tatives from the Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown <br />Business Association, the Colorado Tech Center, the Re- <br />vitalization Commission, and the Planning Commission. <br />It meets the first Monday of each month in the Library <br />meeting room, 951 Spruce Street, at 8:00 AM. <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />The City Council Finance Committee is comprised of <br />the Mayor and two City Council members. The members <br />meet with staff to discuss finanacial matters the third <br />Monday of every month at City Hall, 749 Main Street, at <br />7:30 AM. <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />The Board of Adjustment is a quasi - judicial board that <br />hears and decides requests for variances from the City's <br />zoning ordinances. The Board meets the third Wednes- <br />day of each month at City Hall, 749 Main Street, at 6:30 <br />PM, only as needed. <br />BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS <br />The Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of orders, <br />decisions, or determinations made by building officials <br />relative to the application of the building code. The <br />Board meets the third Thursday of each month at the <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, at 6:30 PM, only as needed. <br />CULTURAL COUNCIL <br />The Cultural Council produces cultural activities and <br />works to advance and preserve the arts in Louisville. The <br />Council meets the third Thursday of each month at City <br />Hall, 749 Main Street, at 6:30 PM. <br />GOLF COURSE <br />ADVISORY BOARD <br />The GCAB advises the City on matters related to the <br />Coal Creek Golf Course and its management. The Board <br />meets the third Monday of each month at the Library <br />Meeting Room, 951 Spruce Street, at 6:30 PM. <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION <br />The Historic Preservation Commission advises the <br />City on preservation issues and use of the Historic <br />Preservation Fund, and oversees the designation of <br />properties as local landmarks. The Commission meets <br />the third Monday of each month at City Hall, 749 <br />Main Street, at 6:30 PM. <br />HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br />The Historical Commission promotes public awareness <br />of the history of Louisville, with an emphasis on the <br />coal mining era, and advises the Louisville Historical <br />Museum. The Commission meets the first Wednesday of <br />odd - numbered months at Library Meeting Room, 951 <br />Spruce Street, at 6:30 PM. <br />LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES <br />The Library Board of Trustees advisory body that gives <br />advice to the City Council about local policy. The Board <br />meets the second Thursday of odd - numbered months at <br />the Library, 951 Spruce Street, at 6:30 PM. <br />LOCAL LICENSING AUTHORITY <br />The Licensing Authority reviews applications for liquor <br />and marijuana licenses and reviews alleged violations of <br />state and local liquor and marijuana codes. The Author- <br />ity meets the fourth Monday of each month at City Hall, <br />749 Main Street, at 7:00 PM. <br />OPEN SPACE ADVISORY BOARD <br />The Open Space Advisory Board advises the City Council <br />on the management of Open Space properties. The <br />Board meets the second Wednesday of each month at the <br />Library, 951 Spruce Street, at 7:00 PM. <br />PARKS & PUBLIC LANDSCAPING <br />ADVISORY BOARD <br />The Parks & Public Landscaping Board advises the City <br />on parks, park programs, and facilities. It also advises on <br />long -term planning and best practices for maintenance. <br />The board advises the City on the development and im- <br />plementation of public landscape projects and supports <br />healthy horticulture practices through public education. <br />The Board meets the first Thursday of each month at the <br />City Services Center, 739 104th Street, at 7:00 PM. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The Planning Commission evaluates land use proposals, <br />holds public hearings to evaluate each proposal against <br />municipal ordinances and zoning regulations, and makes <br />recommendations to the City Council. The Commission <br />meets the second Thursday of each month at City Hall, <br />749 Main Street, at 6:30 PM. <br />REVITALIZATION COMMISSION <br />The Revitalization Commission is responsible for con- <br />ducting urban revitalization activities throughout the <br />City and particularly in the Highway 42 Revitalization <br />Area. The Commission meets the second Monday of each <br />month at the Library, 951 Spruce Street, at 7:30 AM. <br />SUSTAINABILITY ADVISORY BOARD <br />The Sustainability Advisory Board identifies opportuni- <br />ties for resource conservation and energy efficiency in the <br />City and advises City Council on approaches to con- <br />servation and sustainability. The Board meets the third <br />Wednesday of each month at City Hall, 749 Main Street, <br />at 6:30 PM. <br />YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD <br />The Youth Advisory Board advises the City on issues <br />affecting the youth of Louisville. The Board consists of <br />students from grades 6 -12 in Louisville and meets the <br />first Thursday of each month during the school year at <br />the Recreation Center, 900 West Via Appia, at 6:30 PM. <br />Agendas and agenda - related materials for all meetings are available the Friday prior to each <br />meeting at www.LouisvilleCO.gov. Members of the public are welcome at all meetings. <br />
