1ECity,/' <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO SINCE 1875 <br />Department of Planning and Building Safety <br />749 Main Street • Louisville CO 80027 • 303.335.4592 • www.louisvilleCO.gov <br />Memorandum <br />Date: March 7, 2016 <br />To: Business Retention and Development Committee <br />From: Department of Planning and Building Safety <br />Subject: Small Area Plans <br />The City's small area plans for the South Boulder Road area and McCaslin Blvd <br />area are nearing completion. The plans are using public input to identify the <br />community's vision and goals for each area and transforming those visions and <br />goals into development regulations. The regulations will include allowed land <br />uses and building forms, as well as desired infrastructure improvements and <br />areas for public spaces like parks and plazas. <br />A draft of the South Boulder Road plan was reviewed by Planning Commission at <br />a public hearing on February 11 and will be reviewed again on March 10. If the <br />plan is endorsed by Planning Commission in March, it will be reviewed for <br />adoption by Council in April. The Planning Commission staff report and draft <br />plan from the February meeting are attached below. <br />The final public meeting for the McCaslin Blvd plan was held on February 25. At <br />the meeting, staff presented land use, development pattern, design, and <br />transportation alternatives for public review and comment. The feedback from <br />the meeting will be used to create the preferred alternative incorporated into the <br />draft plan. Review of the draft plan by Planning Commission is tentatively <br />scheduled for April 14. Information presented at the public meeting is attached <br />below. <br />7 <br />
