LCityof , Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />BUSINESS RETENTION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />JANUARY 4, 2016 <br />PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />It was a relatively quiet December with few major announcements relating to Louisville <br />businesses. Below are a few actions worth noting to the Committee. <br />550 S. McCaslin Urban Renewal — The LRC reviewed a draft RFP at their December <br />15, 2015 meeting. Their input was incorporated into the document. The RFP is <br />prepared as a joint proposal with the LRC and City. The City Council will be reviewing <br />the RFP at their January 5, 2016 meeting <br />Uber into 400 Centennial <br />Uber recently purchased the Bing Maps division from Microsoft that was based in <br />Boulder. The company recently moved the operations to 400 Centennial, previously <br />occupied by Zayo (moved into Boulder) and Envysion (went to office space in Superior). <br />They moved in December 22nd <br />BNSF procuring materials <br />The BNSF has begun bidding for procuring the materials needed for the South Street <br />bridge construction. Staff anticipates activity from the Railroad in 3rd quarter 2016. <br />DELO Coordination <br />City Staff is coordinating with RMCS and their construction manager, H2 Development <br />Services, on city improvements in and adjacent to the DELO Project. Projects include <br />the public parking lot along Cannon Street, South Street reconstruction, and <br />improvements to the Miner's Field parking spaces on South Street. <br />22 <br />
