The City will partner with the County and area <br />communities on the development of some of these regional troll connections as well as seek grant <br />funding where possible. <br />Please describe why this project Is needed, how It supports Citywride goals and objectives. what realistic options or <br />ahemalivn have been considered, and what payback or return on Investment, has been cakuhled: <br />The additional trail connections are intended to fill gaps in the existing trail network and make the trail <br />system more user friendly and efficient Improving the City's trails Infrastructure provides a green <br />alternative to navigating the community compared to using traditional streets and sidewalks. Toll <br />projects have traditionally been ranked high by members of the community. <br />Each toll I trail segment has been reviewed by OSAB and Stan with regard to the benefit to the overall <br />trail system. If funding is not secured, the need for trails improvements per the Parks Master Plan and <br />the Open Space Master Plan will not be realized. The Open Space Advirsory Board has ranked the <br />Overlook Trail as a high CIP Ppdority. <br />2016 , (1) Overlook Underpass Trail. Anticipated opening of the underpass is April of 2016. Boulder <br />County, Superior and Louisville are working together to amend the "MarshallSuperior- Coalton Trail <br />Corridor Management Plan ". <br />2017, (2) Avlsta. The US 36 Commuter Bikeway will be open March 2016 at which point this <br />connection could be constructed. (3) NW Comer of Warenbourg, (4) Two Neighborhood <br />Connections to Oaughenbaugh. <br />2015, (5) West Dahlia / Fireside to Powedine Trail. <br />(6) 10ath Street Safe Crossing may not bo warranted for 5+ years. <br />2019, (7) Golf Course Trail On the Perimeterof the Course. <br />(8) Coal Creek Trail to CTC.
