<br />City Council Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 2, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />Subcommittee members also noted the hope that this program could begin in 2007 with <br />a basic marketing campaign but that the hope for 2008 would be to dovetail the program <br />with a gift card program that the business community would oversee. <br /> <br />BUSINESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROCESS <br />Hogan reported that some members of City Council had questioned why the BAP <br />process was so lengthy. Hogan noted that it can take four or more months from the <br />original discussions to a final approval from City Council. The process is often dictated <br />by the fact that City Council can only give direction at regularly scheduled meetings and <br />waiting for those can add significant time to the process. <br /> <br />RETENTION VISIT UPDATE <br />Muth reported that there had been three retention visits to Avista A <br />Wildwood Guitars, and Cable Labs. Lathrop reported on the visit to A <br />very well. He noted that CEO John Sackett had a suggest. n for the C to sponsor a <br />CEO breakfast for the top 15-20 companies in town. Sack added that Avista would be <br />willing to host the event. <br /> <br /> <br />WEBSITE UPDATE <br />Muth reported that the web site would be up the City's server within a few days. <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT Y UPDATE <br />Hogan reported that Project Delta should be City Council for approval within 60 <br />days, that the City is still in the running for Pro eta and we are waiting for a <br />decision, and that Project Charlie w uld go to City Council on July 17 for final approval. <br /> <br />C <br /> <br /> <br />TEE COMMENTS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Lathrop asked if a disc <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />USSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br />.on of Main Street options could be added for the August <br /> <br />The meetin <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />ed at 9:15 AM. <br />
