<br />City Council Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 4, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />SHOP LOUISVILLE PROGRAM REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL REVIEW <br />Brown reviewed the City Council's decision to take the Shop Louisville Campaign in a <br />slightly different direction by choosing to do a larger 3-5 year marketing plan rather than <br />a summer marketing push. <br /> <br />Muth shared a draft Request for Proposals for the 3-5 year marketing plan and asked <br />members to have any comments back to her by June 5. <br /> <br />RETENTION VISIT SCHEDULE UPDATE <br />Muth stated that three visits have been scheduled and that more will be c <br />She reminded members that she will provide a packet of information to the visit <br />members prior to each visit. <br /> <br /> <br />2008 BUDGET PRIORITIZATION <br />Muth went over the list of items that BRaD reviewed at the May meet <br />have been associated with the list it appears that the COlTJrnittee's 200 udget request <br />will be approximately $175,000. Muth noted that this is md~~ than twice what was <br />budgeted in 2007 and the City Council will have to determiri where the additional <br />money will come from. <br /> <br /> <br />Members decided not to prioritize the list but i stead to let the City Council make an <br />overall determination on the budget and then Committee can decide what items to <br />remove if need be. <br /> <br /> <br />WEB SITE TE <br />Muth reported that the BRaD web si should be completely moved to the City's server <br />by the July meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />NT ACTIVITY UPDATE <br /> <br />Update on Prospects <br />Hogan reported that the Cit in the running for Project Beta and that we should <br />know more in the next month 0 so. <br /> <br />Developer Feed <br />Jeff Sheets of Koe Company attended the meeting for a discussion of whether <br />and how the Business sistance Program (BAP) can be used for developers or if it is <br />onl licable to end users. He also asked for clarification on the base number that is <br />use P and how it works. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Comm e members were in agreement that the BAP could be used for developers. <br />Sheets oted that developers will pass along the assistance one way or another to the <br />end user and it gives a developer some incentive to take on the risk of the upfront <br />development costs. <br /> <br />MDEDC Code of Ethics <br />City Council will consider adopting the Code of Ethics at its June 5 meeting. <br />
