Yarnell noted one way <br />or another, assistance is getting passed through to the tenant. Lathrop added that it is <br />set up so that a developer and a tenant can't "double dip" and both receive assistance. <br /> <br />SHOP LOUISVILLE UPDATE <br />Muth reported that members of the subcommittee would be meeting later that same day <br />to choose a logo for the program. Subcommittee members will also meet with the <br />contractor to discuss next steps in the marketing campaign prior to the next BRaD <br />meeting. <br /> <br />MAIN STREET BRAINSTORMING <br />Lathrop noted that he had requested this as an agenda item as a way to start the <br />discussion of what downtown needs to be viable and to make it a d tination area. He <br />noted that in his travels he has seen many pedestrian-oriented down wns with <br />restaurants and outdoor seating that have a great feel to them. He as members their <br />thoughts on how best to help downtown. <br /> <br />Members discussed possible ideas for downtown but the <br />location of the rail station and extent of the railroad right-o -w . determined, it is <br />unreasonable to talk about changes for downtow ch of how downtown will look in <br />the future will be determined by the decisions m TD. Members would like to <br />revisit the conversation after that determination i <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RETENTION VISIT UPDATE <br />. ITEA (Marsella/Hogan) - Hogan reported on this visit noting the company is currently <br />moving to a new space in Louisvil he company reported that the Planning <br />process for the move went very the company's perspective. <br />. Lockheed Martin - Coherent Te ies (Brown/Dalton) - Brown and Dalton <br />reported that the visit went very we. he company is possibly looking to move a <br />facility from Lafayette t isville. Brown asked Hogan to contact the company <br />about possible assist e company also noted that the Planning process had <br />been difficult in their I nsion (5-7 years ago) and that they are currently <br />bringing a new expansio rough the process. The company added a couple of <br />items of con them would be power outages from Public Service Company <br />and better c ation with the City in snow emergencies. <br />. Albertson's (Y Lathrop) - Lathrop and Yarnell reported that the visit went well <br />and as far as the nager knows, Albertson's has no plans to close the store. In <br />e new manager would like to make upgrades to store as much as Albertson's <br />ffice will allow funding for. The only item of concern was a request for <br />signage on McCaslin Boulevard to direct traffic to the store. <br /> <br /> <br />WEB SITE UPDATE <br />Muth reported that the BRaD site is now up and running on the City's web server. <br />Members gave staff direction continue work on search engine optimization. <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY UPDATE <br />Hogan gave a brief update on her development activities for the month. <br />
