<br />City Council Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 7, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />Brown noted that a video would also be a good investment. It could be shown on the <br />local government access channel and used in meetings with local groups to education <br />people about the <br /> <br />Dalton and Lathrop volunteered to work with staff and a local graphics company on the <br />logo to be decided before the June BRaD Meeting. <br /> <br />The hope would be to have a least the logo and some of the collateral materials for the <br />June 9th Taste of Louisville or July 4th at the latest. <br /> <br />The Committee agreed to take a formal budget request of $10,000 - $12, <br />Louisville Campaign to City Council at the May 15 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />2008 BUDGETIWORK PLAN <br />Hogan shared some ideas for programs for 2008. Members discusse which items were <br />of interest for doing in 2008. Staff will put numbers with thpse program. or discussion at <br />the June meeting. Once the list is prioritized and costs att ed, BRaD will forward its <br />2008 budget request to the City Council as a part of its 200 udget planning. <br /> <br />WHAT BUSINESSES DO WE WANT TO SEE IN OUISVILLE <br />Hogan asked that this item be tabled to a lat date. <br /> <br /> <br />LE UPDATE <br />en made and that that staff will <br /> <br />RETENTION VISIT <br />Muth noted that the assignments for the visit <br />begin to schedule the visits as soon as possib <br /> <br />EVALUATION OF IL 5 ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION <br />Committee members thought th table was informative and appreciated the <br />frankness of the panel members. oted that there were some similar themes and <br />ideas expressed at the first panel. Hogan noted that another roundtable for a later date <br />would be one of develo currently doing business in town. <br /> <br />WEBSITE UPDATE <br />Muth noted that there is a technical problem on one of the files, but once that is fixed the <br />turn around for the site should be relatively soon. <br /> <br />APRIL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIEFING <br />Hog quick overview of her April activities. <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />
