City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />06/30/08 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />PRESENTATION OF NEW MONTHLY BUILDING REPORT <br />Lynn Tennant from the Building Department presented to the Committee a newly <br />designed monthly building report. The Committee approved the design but felt <br />that the information only needed to be presented on a quarterly basis. <br />PRESENTATION OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL AUDITING SERVICES <br />The Finance Director presented a draft RFP for auditing services to the <br />Committee. The Committee approved the RFP for immediate release. The <br />Committee agreed that the City's current external auditors have performed well, <br />but thought it good business practice to require a change in auditors every few <br />years. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED MAY 31, 2008 <br />The Finance Director presented the May 31, 2008 Financial Statements to the <br />Finance Committee. The statements and corresponding narrative can be located <br />on the City's website at www.ci.louisville.co.us. In addition to the presentation, <br />the following issues were brought forward and discussed: <br />• The Committee requested amonth-end date on each statement. <br />• PEG Grants for funding streaming video. <br />• Installation of waterless urinals at the library. <br />• $1.4 million grant revenue in the Capital Project Fund. <br />• Financial outlook for the Debt Service Fund. <br />SALES TAX REPORT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED APRIL 30, 2008 <br />The Sales Tax Administrator presented the April 30, 2008 Sales Tax Report to <br />the Finance Committee. The report and the corresponding narrative can be <br />located on the City's website at www.ci.louisville.co.us. <br />LIST OF BILLS <br />The List of Bills scheduled for approval at the July 2, 2008 Council Meeting were <br />discussed by the Finance Committee. The Committee did not ask for any <br />additional information, but discussed the following: <br />• Golf Course Pond Renovation Project. <br />• Employees making multiple trips to Loaves. <br />• Purchasing hybrid vehicles. <br />3 <br />
