of self-insurance in full force and effect as required by law, when <br />requested to do so by a peace officer, shall constitute prima facie evidence, <br />at a trial concerning a violation charged under subsection (1) or (2) of this <br />section, that such owner or operator of a motor vehicle violated subsection <br />(1) or (2) of this section. <br />(6) No person charged with violating subsection (1), (2), or (3) of this <br />section shall be convicted if the person pY•oduces in court a bona fide <br />complying policy or certificate of self-insurance that was in full force and <br />effect as required by law at the time of the alleged violation. <br />Section 10. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such <br />decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br />hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and f,ach part hereof irrespective of the fact <br />that any one part be declared invalid. <br />Section 11. Except in cases where a different punishment is prescribed by any ordinance <br />of the City, any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of <br />not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment not to exceed one year, or by both such fine and <br />imprisonment. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this <br />ordinance is committed, continued, or permitted by any such person shall be a separate offense <br />Section 12. The repeal or modification of any provision of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Louisville by this ordinance shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or change in whole <br />or in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or criminal, which shall have been incurred <br />under such provision, and each provision shall be treated and held as still remaining in force for the <br />purpose of sustaining any and all proper actions, suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the <br />enforcement of the penalty, forfeiture, or liability, as well as for the purpose of sustaining any <br />judgment, decree, or order which can or may be rendered, entered, or made in such actions, suits, <br />proceedings, or prosecutions. <br />Section 13.
