OTHER: <br />TRI CITY ELKS REQUEST FOR <br />EXTENDED HOURS Scarpella stated th<~t he was approached by the Tri <br />City Elks regarding an extended hours liquor license <br />specifically for the' Super Bowl Sunday on January <br />31, 1988. There is a provision in the State <br />Statutes that provides for extended hours on <br />Sundays and Christmas (from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.) and <br />requires a fee of $170 to the State and $80 to the <br />City. Scarpella stated that he would give this <br />information to the I~lks Board. <br />Council approved the' extended hours for the Tri City <br />Elks contingent upon payment to the State and the <br />City of the stated i'ees . <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS Mayor Fauson asked if there has been a determination <br />to signalize Via Ap~>ia and McCaslin in the near <br />future. Phare stated the traffic study does not yet <br />warrant the installation of this signal. Mayor <br />Fauson stated that inhere is a problem at that <br />intersection and asked if Homart is responsible for <br />the installation of the signal. Phare stated that <br />Homart is responsible and that with the Ohmeda <br />facility opening, studies still do not seem to <br />warrant a light at ghat intersection. Phare stated <br />that a higher priority at this point is at Dillon <br />Road. However, staff will continue to review both <br />these areas and assess the need of signalization. <br />RECESS Mayor Fauson moved ghat Council recess and return <br />for an Executive Session. <br />7 <br />
