missed by Council and the people of Louisville.
Szymanski was Councilman in Ward I. "Bob was one
of the finest Councilmen I've ever worked with in
the eight plus years that I've been on Council. I
think he was great friend and great Councilman."
Anderson stated he served with Bob in Ward I.
"Last week this community lost one of its most
dedicated and hardest working public officials,
Bob Szymanski. Having served with Bob on Council
for the last three 'years, I have come to know him
as the hallmark of quality that the citizens of
Louisville would expect their Councilmen to be."
"I will personally miss Bob's dedication, humor
and certainly his friendship. Life cannot be
simply measured by :its duration, but by its
donation. Bob's donation to our lives in this
community measures many lifetimes, and although
his physical presence is gone, his spirit will
live with us all. ~+1e will miss him."
Mohr stated that he served with Bob on many
projects prior to working with him on Council and
have known him to bE~ a true friend and a very good
colleague on this Council. "His focus was always
whats best for the community and the people of the
City of Louisville. I think that's what gave so
much integrity in his considerations in decision
making and I will miss that. I will miss him as a
friend."
Carnival stated that: he had the opportunity of
working with Bob on the Finance Committee and
feels that the City of Louisville is better off
for Bob being a part: of that Committee along with
being a Councilman. "I respect the gentleman and
I will miss him greatly."
Mayor Fauson called for a few moments of silence
on behalf of Bob Szymanski.
PRESENTATION OF PLAQUE BY ROCKY MOUNTAIN CONSULTANTS RE: COMPLETION
OF THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT
PLANT Bill Schuler, president of
Rocky Mountain Consultants, presented to Council
the plaque that will be placed on the newly
completed wastewater treatment plant. Schuler
read to Council the inscription on the bronze
plaque and acknowledged the assistance they
received by Pat Raft:ery and his staff and also Tom
Phare. Schuler also stated that Mark Clee of
Rocky Mountain Consultants was the designer of the
facility and "made i.t work."
2
