relating to land dedication for the construction <br />of a new elementary school in the Cherrywood <br />Subdivision. At ghat time, Council suggested <br />several changes and directed staff to negotiate <br />with the School District regarding these changes. <br />These changes have been addressed and are <br />reflected in this final document. <br />Mel Weisley, Assistant Superintendent of Boulder <br />Valley Schools, stated that the reduction in <br />number of years in Paragraph 10.5 was reduced from <br />eight to six. The six years took into account <br />that the School District can only go before the <br />voters on a bond issue every three years giving <br />them two opportunities to go before the taxpayers <br />to issue bonds for construction. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that the Council approve the <br />land dedication agreement, facility use agreement <br />and direct staff to finalize documents. Mohr <br />seconded. Unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION #5 - JOINT RESOLUTION REGARDING BOULDER VALLEY <br />PUBLIC SCHOOL'S LONG RANGE FACILITIES <br />TASK FORCE Hundley explained •that as a follow-up to last <br />Wednesday's joint Council meeting with the City of <br />Lafayette, a Joint Resolution was drafted <br />regarding the Long Range Facilities Task Force <br />appointed by the Boulder Valley Board of <br />Education. This resolution reflects the growing <br />interest and concern by Louisville and Lafayette <br />residents regarding the issue of school facilities <br />in our two communities. It also requests the <br />presence of the School Board at an April 15th <br />meeting at Centaurus High School at which citizens <br />from both communities will have an opportunity to <br />express their views on this important topic. <br />Mayor Fauson thanked Councilmen Anderson and Mohr <br />for bringing this issue out in the open and <br />informing everyone of the situation regarding the <br />Long Range Facilities Task Force finding. <br />Mayor Fauson moved. that Resolution #5 be adopted <br />and encouraged everyone to attend the Community <br />Meeting on April 15th. Mohr seconded. Unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION #6 - BOULDER VIEW <br />SUBDIVISION Wanush explained that a letter requesting <br />annexation and RE '.zoning for the Faber (Boulder <br />View) property was forwarded to City Council in <br />July, 1985. Council referred the request onto <br />Commission who then recommended that the property <br />be zoned RE since .it is adjacent to RE zoning. <br />Council requested •that the annexation ordinance be <br />5 <br />
