Although the mixture that was initially <br /> put on Miners Field was inferior, Krisko feels <br /> confident that the proper mixture has been <br /> achieved and the others field will not experience <br /> any problems or delays in activities. <br />ANNUAL REPORT Hundley explained that two of Council's strategic <br /> goals and objectives include 1) improve the public <br />i <br /> mage of City government, and 2) improve <br /> communication between City government and the <br /> community. One of the specific objectives under <br /> these goals was to prepare an annual report for <br />City resident <br /> s. Over the past several months, <br />staff members have been working to finalize a <br /> draft of the annual report. A copy of the draft <br /> document was given to Council for comments. Staff <br />will h <br /> ave the report mailed to every home in <br />Louisville. The approximate <br />t <br /> cos <br />for completing <br />the report is $2,300. Funds for this project will <br /> come from the City Clerk's printing and publishing <br /> account. <br />OTHER: None. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS Anderson reported ghat he attended a meeting last <br /> week of the newly formed joint Youth Activities <br /> Council wherein social events were scheduled and <br /> the YAC will be meeting with the Louisville <br /> Psychiatric Institute regarding teen programs <br /> related to substance abuse. <br />In response to Anderson's inquiry regarding <br />mosquitos, Krisko stated that the County will <br />institute larval control programs throughout the <br />City along with spraying four times this summer. <br />Mosquito traps will placed in various areas of <br />town to determine density. <br />Carnival reported that he, Scarpella and Krisko <br />attended the first joint session with the City of <br />Lafayette regarding a joint recreation task force. <br />The discussion resulted in many ideas to explore. <br />Location and reguir~ements are two issue that need <br />to resolved. The next meeting is June 30th. <br />Mayor Fauson received a letter from Governor Romer <br />congratulating the City on receiving the Tree City <br />Award again. <br />Krisko stated that a letter was received today <br />from DRCOG stating i~hat the Senior Center had <br />received a grant in the amount of $3,691.
