Mohr suggested that Mrs. Stephens seek consultants
that are in this business to help her run the
establishment and minimize the type of disorderly
conduct that has been reported by the Public Safety
Department.
Szymanski stated that he wants to see the practice
of calling officers to the establishment when
warranted continue as specified by law, however,
some improvement does need to be made in managing
the tavern by Mrs. Stephens.
Mayor Fauson moved that the tavern liquor license
renewal application for Johns Place be approved.
Mohr seconded.
Anderson moved to amend the motion to include a
quarterly report (for a period of one year) be
reviewed by the Police Chief, City Administrator and
City Council, and de=termine if Council should con-
duct a formal review to see if any further action is
necessary. Staff was directed
to write letters an~i contact organizations looking
into these problem~~ to see what can be done to help
minimize the issue of increased noise.
MODEL SNOW ORDINANCE Hundley stated that he recently attended a DRCOG
meeting where a modE~l snow ordinance has been
developed by DRCOG. Hundley asked if Council would
like staff to look into this issue. The concept is
that all municipalii:ies in the Metro area utilize
the same signage and language for the sake of con-
sistency. Although there are differential snowfalls
in different parts of the Metro area, a model snow
ordinance may be something that Council would like
staff to look into.
