$48,920, and 2) a projection of 185 residential
building permits to be issued in 1988.
Mayor Fauson moved that the 1988-1992 Capital
Improvements Program be adopted. Szymanski
seconded. Unanimous.
Mayor Fauson thanked staff, specifically Hundley and
Asti-Caranci, for bringing to Council a very well
prepared budget.
Hundley reiterated the Mayor's remarks concerning
Asti-Caranci's efforts and abilities and the
efforts of all of the Department Heads and their
staff. Hundley also thanked Council for the time
they spent in deliberations during Budget Work
Sessions.
ORDINANCE #939 - SALARY STRUCTURE - 1ST READING -
SET PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #939, "An
Ordinance amending Title 2, Chapter 2.68 of the
Louisville Municipal Code concerning grade
classifications, and salary structures." Permission
is being sought to ;place the Ordinance out for
publication and a public hearing set for November 5,
1987.
Asti-Caranci stated that in 1986 the City retained
A.S. Hansen, Inc. for assistance and guidance in
developing and implementing a competitive and
equitable pay system for compensating employees,
based on the results of the study, it was Council's
desire to compensate the City employees at a compa-
ratio of 1.00. This would indicate that the average
employee is paid at the midpoint, which represents
the competitive pay level the City desired. This
was to be accomplished over a period of three to
four years. In order for the City to continue to
maintain its pay system, the salary structure for
1988 should be adjusted 2.5~. Ordinance No. 939
outlines the salary structure that was developed
from the 2.5$ adjustment. By adjusting the salary
structure by 2.5$ coupled with the budgeted 3.5$
average growth rate in 1988 salary increases, the
City would move from a compa-ratio of .94 to a
compa-ratio of .98.
Mohr moved that Ordinance #939 be placed out for
publication and a public hearing be set for November
5, 1987. Mayor Fauson seconded. Unanimous.
ORDINANCE #940 - ANDERSON ANNEXATION #1 - 1S7C READING -
SET PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #940, "An
Ordinance annexing t:o the City of Louisville,
Colorado, a parcel of property of approximately .010
7
