PROCLAMATION Mayor Meier procl~simed January 20, 1986, as the <br />first observance of the federal legal holiday, <br />to honor the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, <br />Jr. and encouraged appropriate observance and <br />activities to ensure the observance and <br />commemoration of t:his Holiday. <br />ORDINANCE #877 - DISCONTINUANCE OF <br />WATER SERVICE - PUBLIC HEARING <br />Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #877, <br />"An Ordinance amending the procedure under Title <br />13 of the Louisvi]'.le Municipal Code concerning <br />discontinuance of water service." The Ordinance <br />was properly published as was notice of the Public <br />Hearing. <br />Mayor Meier openec~ the Public Hearing. <br />Phare briefly exp]Lained the purpose of the <br />Ordinance. <br />Mayor Meier asked for any Public Comment in favor <br />of or in opposition to Ordinance #877. None. <br />Mayor Meier closed the Public Hearing and moved <br />that Ordinance #8'77 be adopted. Cussen seconded. <br />By roll call vote, Ordinance #877 passed <br />unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE #878 - SEWER RATES <br />PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #878, <br />"An Ordinance amending Chapter 13.28 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code concerning rates and <br />sewer service." The Ordinance was properly <br />published as was notice of the Public Hearing. <br />Mayor Meier opened the Public Hearing. <br />Hundley advised Council that the rate increase was <br />necessary for repayment of the $2.755 million <br />dollar bond sale i`or use in the upgrading of <br />the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant from .9 mgd <br />to 2.1 mgd. <br />Mayor Meier asked for Public Comments in favor of <br />or in opposition 1:o Ordinance #878. None. Mayor <br />Meier closed the lPublic Hearing and moved that <br />Ordinance #878 be adopted. Fauson seconded. By <br />roll call vote, Ordinance #878 passed unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE #879 - ISSUANCE OF <br />SEWER BONDS - PUBLIC HEARING <br />Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #879, <br />"An Ordinance authorizing the issuance by the City <br />
