and Washington Ave., The traffic signal
installation is to be funded from the City's
Annual Federal Aid Urban Secondary Funds (FAUS).
Use of FAUS funds require the City to submit a
funding application to the Colorado Department of
Highways for their review and approval. Staff has
submitted the appropriate forms, however, before
the State will formally fund the project they need
a resolution adopted by City Council requesting
funds for the traffic signal projects.
Mayor Fauson moved that Resolution #17, Series
1986, be adopted. Mohr seconded. Unanimous.
WAREMBOURG ANNEXATION
REQUEST Wanush explained to Council that Dennis Drumm,
Vice President of R.B Development, is requesting on
behalf of Klubert W'arembourg, that the City of
Louisville initiate annexation review of his 92
acre parcel situated north of Cherry Street and
west of Jackson Avenue.
Staff recommends triis request be referred to
Planning Commission. for review and recommendation
on the annexation and on zoning.
Concerns were voiced by some Councilmembers with
regard to the timing and density of this
annexation.
Council asked that Planning Commission minutes be
made available to Councilmembers during the review
and Public Hearing process, and encouraged all
Councilmembers to attend these meetings.
Mohr moved that the Warembourg annexation request
be referred to the ~?lanning Commission for review
and recommendation on the annexation and zoning.
Mayor Fauson seconded. Unanimous.
APPROVAL OF AUTHORIZATION TO
OBTAIN BIDS - CHIP SEAL PROGRAM
Included in the 198Ei Capital Improvement Program
are funds for street resurfacing, explained Phare.
Because of a reduction in estimated revenue, the
street resurfacing program is being budgeted at
$36,200.
Szymanski asked that this item be pulled from the
Consent Calendar for a clarification. Phare
explained that the iten streets chosen for this
project are "relatively important to the City's
street system and a:re concentrated to allow for a
more effective contract by not being scattered all
over the town."
5
