tion and notice of public hearing were <br />established. <br />Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing. <br />Wanush explained that in connection with the <br />previous Agenda item, the applicant, Windsong <br />Partnership, is requesting the vacation of the <br />strip of Jefferson Avenue adjacent to the Windsong <br />Subdivision for the purpose of extending the lot <br />lines and to vacate a portion of Mead Street. At <br />the June 10th Planning Commission public hearing, <br />Commission approved the Jefferson Street right-of- <br />way vacation without conditions, but conditioned <br />the Mead Street vacation on approval of the <br />Windsong Subdivision on which Council's action <br />tonight was taken and approved. <br />Mayor Fausan asked for public comments in favor of <br />or in opposition to Ordinance #910. None. <br />Mayor Fausan closed the public hearing and called <br />for a motion. <br />Anderson maved that Ordinance #910 be adopted. <br />Mayor Fausan seconded. By Roll Call Vote, <br />Ordinance #910 was approved unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION #39 - SUPPORT FOR THE STUIDY OF THE NORTH <br />ST. VRAIN RIVER Rautenstrau~s read in its entirety Resolution #39, <br />"A Resolution in support of a designation study of <br />portions of the North St. Vrain River, and the <br />designation of same as a wild and scenic river." <br />Anderson stated that at the last meeting of <br />Boulder County Consortium of Cities, member Cities <br />were asked to support the study of portions of the <br />North St. Vrain River for possible designation as <br />a wild and scenic river. <br />Sackett moved that Resolution #39 be approved <br />contingent on the City's Water Attorney's favorable <br />opinion of the Resolution. Anderson seconded. <br />Unanimous. <br />LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION - CENTENNIAL LIQUORS <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING Ferris stated that the application for a retail <br />liquor store license is for a site at the new <br />Centennial Center. The applicant, Michael Poe, <br />hopes to open the store within two months. A <br />petition is being circulated to fulfill the "needs <br />of the neighborhood" requirement and will be <br />available att the public hearing. Staff recommends <br />that a public hearing be set for September 2, <br />1986. <br />5 <br />
