Wanush explained that when the Adventist Health
Systems first requested review by the Planning
Commission Commercial Business (CB) was requested.
Planning Commission in reviewing this approved the
CB zoning with conditions. In their deliberations
they were concerned that in the event that for
whatever reason the Health Center wasn't
constructed, they did not what to see this CB zone
for that site nor did they want to see the land
transferred without being able to have some
public overview of the ultimate use of the site.
The Commission directed staff to attach conditions
to the CB zoning. Staff produced these conditions
in draft form and met with representatives of the
Health Care Systems.
