One of YAB's highlights is the scale that the aquatic center has reached to where it's
been asked about on surveys.
YAB also thinks a highlight is the food drive and soup kitchen volunteering that they
participated in.
YAB is also proud of their own hard work for administering the projects and all of the
work put into all their volunteer events.
YAB is also proud of their success for Trek the Trails day and goal for the future.
2.) List plans /goals for the next two years
Volunteering and serving the community
Progress with pool
New yearly volunteer projects
3.) In what areas do you need City Council input /feedback
YAB is satisfied with the input and thank their liaison Jay Keany and we also make an
effort to visit other boards and commission
4.) Does the board think term limits for board members would be a good idea or a
bad one?
YAB debated this and overall decided that if you were willing to put in the time it was
worth it to stay and that people with past experiences are beneficial to the success of
YAB because they can be role models by showing their dedication. Overall it didn't apply
or make sense to have these limits on terms.
5.) Does your board have problems or concerns regarding member absences at
meetings?
No
6.) Does your board have an informal policy about absences from meetings?
Yes
7.) Do you have questions for the city council?
Will city council participate in Trek the Trails and /or spread the word
What would city council like to see us do or any room for improvement?
Recommendations? Projects?
VII. 2016 -2017 CIP Requests from Board /Commissions - YAB doesn't have any
immediate ideas for this yet but Caelis thinks money should be spent on general
maintenance. Mandy said it needed to be a tangible thing. The grain elevator was
brought as a concern and Mandy said the city purchased it so it would be historical but it
has been leased out to someone. YAB will let City Council know if they think of anything
else
