Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments <br />or questions. <br /> <br />Sis.k moved that Council not approve Ordinance No. <br />19~3, on 2nd and final reading. Seconded by Howard. <br />taken. Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />1136, Series <br />Roll call was <br /> <br />CABLE TET,RVISION FRANCHISE RENEWAL- PUBLIC HEARING (CONTINUED FROM <br />12/07/93) <br /> <br />Chris Miller, Assistant to the City Administrator, stated that <br />public hearings were held on June 28, July 31, and September 21, <br />19~3. <br /> <br />Sis.k recommended <br />nec.'otiations. <br /> <br />that Council begin the formal franchise <br /> <br />Davidson called for public comments. <br /> <br />Cheri Bailey-Ruskus, Business Answers, 728 Main Street, Louisville, <br />Colorado, wanted the Scripps Howard payment office to remain at <br />Bus. i~ess Answers. They are looking to expand the Scripps Howard <br />seI~lce. <br /> <br />Sis,k proposed, since there is a three month hiatus before the <br />studio and the office would be available, that it would be a time <br />to see that not one citizen has to go to Longmont and their needs <br />could be taken care of from the Business Answers office. <br /> <br />Mayer wanted a full-service operation and, if Business Answers <br />could accomplish that, then he would be satisfied. He did not care <br />for Scripps Howard's facility on a back street, dirt road behind <br />the railroad tracks. <br /> <br />Ho%'ard didn't care where the office is in Louisville, but he wanted <br />a full-service office. <br /> <br />Sisk commented that Scripps Howard is not listed in the new <br />telephone directory as having an office in Louisville, which <br />concerned him. He wanted to have a representative that the people <br />of Louisville could talk to. <br /> <br />Annette Brand, City Administrator, requested that the Council <br />instruct the staff to work with Business Answers and Scripps Howard <br />to define a full-service office, come up with criteria to meet such <br />a d.efinition, and then bring it back to Council to accept. <br /> <br />Mayer: <br /> <br />I would make that as a motion. <br /> <br />Howard seconded. Ail in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />
