upgrading the lift station would have lower <br />capital cost but higher operational and <br />maintenance cost compared to a new trunk sewer. A <br />new trunk sewer would also be much more reliable <br />with little chance of failure. The Public Works <br />Department selected the gravity trunk sewer as the <br />best option to solve the wastewater flow capacity <br />problem in the North Louisville area and also <br />recommend RMC for the project has they have <br />undertaken preliminary pipe sizing, route <br />analyses, preliminary cost estimates and related <br />work. <br />Mayor Meier moved approval of Rocky Mountain <br />Consultants for engineering services on the North <br />Louisville Sewer Trunk project at a cost not to <br />exceed $33,900. Cussen seconded. Unanimous. <br />CONTRACT WITH PINE STREET PLAZA <br />FOR RECREATION CLASSES <br />Hioco explained that due to a new policy with the <br />school district, the City is limited as to space <br />and time available to hold recreation classes at <br />the schools. A room at Pine Street Plaza is <br />available for classes at $975 a month with a one <br />year lease and an option to extend for another <br />session of classes. <br />Cussen moved that the contract to lease a room at <br />Pine Street Plaza be approved. Mayor Meier <br />seconded. Unanimous. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A FACILITATOR <br />FOR THE NEW COUNCIL <br />Hundley asked for permission to hire a facilitator <br />for organizational meetings with the new council. <br />Since the meetings are scheduled for 1985, in an <br />accounting sense, the expenditures would be this <br />year also and therefore, needs Council's approval. <br />Leary so moved. Mayor Meier seconded. Unanimous. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS Luce asked the status of the Design Guidelines. <br />Wanush related that the guidelines would be <br />brought before Council at their next regular <br />meeting. <br />Leary asked that a financial policy be drafted as <br />discussed during the Public Hearing for Ordinance <br />#874. <br />ADJOURNMENT With no further business, Mayor Meier moved that <br />the meeting adjourn.
