Call to order: Commission Member Paula Elrod called the meeting to order at 6:34 <br />P.M. The Chair, Dan Mellish, had asked Paula to lead the meeting in his absence. <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present: Paula Elrod, Gordon Madonna, Julie VanLaanen, <br />and Jon Ferris <br />Commission Members Absent: Dan Mellish, Lynn Koglin, and Betty Scarpella <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Jay Keany, City Council liaison <br />Other Individuals Present: <br />Lynda Haley, Historic Preservation Commission liaison <br />Lauren Trice, Planning Department staff <br />III. Approval of agenda: Members approved the agenda <br />IV. Public comments: None <br />V. Approval of January 6, 2016 regular meeting minutes: All minutes were approved <br />VI. Discussion /Direction /Action — Review and comment on 817 Main Interpretive <br />Plaques: Lauren Trice reported that as part of the amended conservation <br />easement for the Rex Theater at 817 Main St., two interpretative plaques will be <br />installed about the history of the building and the theater itself. These plaques will <br />be 10 "x 20" in size and will include approximately 170 words on each sign.
