City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 3, 2016 <br />Page 2 of 10 <br />(Louisville Charter, Section 5 -2(d) — Authorized Topics — Consultation with an <br />Attorney representing the City with respect to pending litigation and C.R.S. 24 -6- <br />402 (4)(b)). <br />The City Manager and City Attorney requested the City Council convene an <br />Executive Session for the purpose of consultation with an attorney representing <br />the City with respect to potential pending litigation. <br />City Attorney Light introduced the requests for executive session. The City Manager <br />requested the City Council convene an executive session for the purpose of <br />consideration of potential real property acquisitions and dispositions concerning <br />property in Louisville. The second executive session was at the request of the City <br />Manager and the City Attorney for the purpose of consultation with attorneys <br />representing the City with respect to possible pending litigation <br />Acting City Clerk Hanson read Section 2.90.050 — Public statement of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, which outlines the topics permitted for discussion in an executive <br />session <br />City Attorney Light stated the authority to conduct an executive session: (Louisville <br />Charter, Section 5 -2(c) — Authorized Topics — Consideration of real property <br />acquisitions and dispositions, but only as to appraisals and other value estimates and <br />strategy, and C R.S. 24- 6- 402(4)(a)). The authority for the second executive session is <br />(Louisville Charter, Section 5 -2(d) — Authorized Topics — Consultation with an attorney <br />representing the City with respect to pending litigation and C R S. 24- 6- 402(4)(b)) <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved the City Council adjourn to executive session for the <br />purpose of consideration of potential real property acquisitions and dispositions <br />concerning property in Louisville, but only as to appraisals and other value estimates <br />and strategy, and the session include the City Council, City Manager, City Attorney, <br />Economic Development Director, Planning and Building Safety Director, Deputy City <br />Manager and Special Counsel (Malcolm Murray). Council member Loo seconded the <br />motion The motion carried by a vote of 6 -0. Absent: Council member Keany <br />MOTION. Mayor Muckle moved the City Council adjourn to executive session for the <br />purpose of consultation with respect to pending litigation and the executive session <br />include the City Council, City Manager, City Attorney, Economic Development Director, <br />Planning and Building Safety Director, Deputy City Manager and Special Counsel <br />(Malcolm Murray). Mayor Pro Tem Lipton seconded the motion. The motion carried by <br />a vote of 6 -0. Absent: Council member Keany. <br />The City Council adjourned to executive session at 610 p m. <br />The Special City Council meeting reconvened at 7:16 p.m. <br />
