Board Updates: Ellen received a public comment voicing concern <br />about herbicide spray being applied on a median during high <br />winds and the possible drift. Dean will look into the matter. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding future programs presented <br />by PPLAB but it will continue to be added as a future agenda <br />item. The task force for the proposed aquatics /senior center is <br />getting ready for the July ballot. Small area plans are still under <br />study including SBR and McCaslin, <br />VII. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: no public present. <br />VIII. Arboretum Restroom Update, Allan Gill, Parks Project Manager: <br />Allan reported that the bids for the restrooms came in at more <br />than double the budget. As an affordable alternative, he <br />presented several design options from Romtec pre -fab restrooms. <br />The consensus of the board was for 4 unisex stalls, with the <br />possible addition of water fountains. <br />IX. Preparation for April 12th Study Session with Council: Because <br />PPLAB is a newly created board as of January 2016, this year's <br />report will mainly be to gain insight and input from the council as <br />to what they would like the board's focus to be for the next two <br />years. It was decided to remove the water reuse item from the <br />board's planned report for this year. <br />X. Preparation for Open Space Joint Meeting Regarding Lake Park <br />and Walnut Park Classifications: Dean explained the concern is <br />when a designated park is moved to an open space classification <br />without formal procedures to change the classification.
