II. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT <br /> The first open house was held on December 2, 2015 at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center with a <br /> focus on aquatic needs/programming. Approximately 65 people attended.The second open house was <br /> held on December 9, 2015 and was attended by approximately 128 people. General results from the <br /> community input included: <br /> Outdoor Aquatic Facilities <br /> • General updates and renovation <br /> • Outdoor pool <br /> ♦ Olympic size <br /> ♦ Heated water <br /> ♦ More lap lanes <br /> ♦ Extended hours <br /> ♦ Diving boards and slides <br /> • Family area with shaded areas <br /> • Kiddie Pool with area for lessons <br /> • Hot tub <br /> • Outdoor workout space <br /> Additional Gymnasium/Indoor Space <br /> • Separate room for stationary bikes/spin classes <br /> • Work out area on first floor <br /> • Better sound mitigation <br /> • Indoor track for competitive use <br /> • Designated stretching area <br /> • Indoor archery <br /> • More tennis, racquetball and pickleball courts <br /> Additional Weight Room & Cardio Fitness Space <br /> • More classroom spaces <br /> • Separate room for stationary bikes/spinning (most requested) <br /> ♦ Aerobics/ Dance/Zumba <br /> ♦ Yoga/Tai Chi/ Barre (quiet and w/dimmable lights) <br /> • Weight room <br /> ♦ More space <br /> • More free weights and hand weights <br /> ♦ Need space for a second weight rack <br /> ♦ More squat racks <br /> • Cardio/ Fitness <br /> ♦ More functional space <br /> ♦ More equipment/machines for peak hours, especially treadmills <br /> ♦ Add step master, rowing machines, punching bags <br /> Senior Center Additions and Improvements <br /> City of Louisville,Colorado <br /> 9 <br />
