Advice sought on donations of other artifacts being offered: <br /> Tom Mudrock is offering the fishing rod of his grandfather (Carlo Damiana), <br /> with canvas bag, to the Museum. The Commission was interested in <br /> receiving it as a donation because of its connection to Louisville, and <br /> recommended that Bridget take a look at the dimensions and see if Bridget <br /> should seek the donation. <br /> C. Museum Coordinator's written report: <br /> Regarding the Acme mine cap that was going to be a donation to the <br /> Museum by the developer and was lost during construction, the Planning <br /> Department required him to have a replica made and it has been donated <br /> to the Museum for the Education Collection. Bridget is giving the program <br /> of"Tiny Houses with a History" on the 5th, on June 15 Larry Dorsey will have <br /> a presentation on the "Shootout at the Superior Depot." Bridget also <br /> showed some new informational cards about the Museum. <br /> XI. Taste of Louisville—Saturday,June 4th (with outdoor children's games to be <br /> offered from 1-2 PM): <br /> A. Pizzelle making in front of the Museum: Paula Elrod and Betty Scarpella <br /> will be making pizzelles in front of the Museum during the TOL. <br /> B. Signups—Commission members to help with visitors at Museum, 10- <br /> 12:30 or 12:30-3: Bridget will send out an email to Commission members <br /> later for volunteering during the TOL. <br /> XII. Items of common interest with the Historic Preservation Commission: reports <br /> from HPC liaison (Lynda Haley) and from HC liaisons to HPC (Paula Elrod and Julie <br /> VanLaanen): On Saturday the 7th is the landmarking ceremony for recent <br /> landmarked homes. <br /> XIII. Commission comments & discussion items for next meeting: None. <br /> XIV. Close meeting & adjourn: The LHC meeting adjourned at 8:49 pm.
