RESOLUTION NO. 35 <br />SERIES 2016 <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING THE <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND GRANT APPLICATION FOR A HISTORIC <br />INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 540 COUNTY ROAD, KNOWN AS THE <br />LOUISVILLE GRAIN ELEVATOR <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an application requesting <br />a Preservation and Restoration Grant for a historic industrial structure located at a 540 <br />County Road, known as the Louisville Grain Elevator, on property legally described as <br />TRACT 712 8 -1S -69 1.21 AC M/L PER DEED 952513 11/16/88 BCR, Town of Louisville, <br />City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council designated the Louisville Grain Elevator as a local <br />landmark through Resolution No. 30, Series 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found it to <br />be out of compliance with City Council Resolution No. 2, Series 2012, establishing criteria <br />for Historic Preservation Fund grants; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a properly noticed public hearing on July 19, 2016, <br />where evidence and testimony were entered into the record, including without limitation the <br />application and supporting materials, the City Council Staff Report dated July 19, 2016 and <br />all attachments included with such staff report, and additional written statements and other <br />documents, as well as testimony from the staff and applicant; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The foregoing recitals are incorporated herein. <br />Section 2. Based on the testimony of the witnesses and the documents <br />and other evidence made a part of the record of the hearing before the City <br />Council, the City Council finds as follows: <br />a. The application is for a Historic Preservation Fund grant for the <br />property at 540 County Road, known as the Louisville Grain Elevator. The <br />property is owned by City of Louisville. The applicant is Erik Hartronft, Louisville <br />Mill Site, LLC. <br />e. The decision criteria that apply to the applicant's Historic <br />Preservation Fund grant application are set forth in City Council Resolution No 2, <br />Series 2012. <br />Resolution No. 35, Series 2016 <br />Page1 of 2 <br />
