Sec. 13.08.180. Cross -connection control. <br />E. General requirements. The following requirements shall be met for <br />all containment backflow prevention assemblies, required on <br />identified hazardous cross connections: <br />3. All backflow prevention assemblies shall be installed on <br />the customer side, immediately following the water meter, <br />at a city approved location. <br />4. In no case will it be permissible to have connections or tees <br />between the meter and service line backflow prevention <br />assembly, unless approved in writing by the city. <br />Section 3. Subsection 13.12.020.A of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are stiekea <br />thfough): <br />Sec. 13.12.020. Tap fee generally. <br />A. No water service shall be furnished to property unless a water tap <br />permit has been issued foi' that property. The city shall furnish <br />provide and install a the water meter, a yoke, a corporation valve, a <br />meter pit, if - required, and all labor involved in installing tho <br />corporation valve. The owner shall be responsible for furnishing <br />and installing a tapping saddle, a corporation valve, a curb stop <br />valve and box, a meter pit, a yoke, for all excavation and <br />installation of the service line piping, and for all earthwork and <br />surface restoration from the water main to the structure served. <br />Items furnished by the owner shall comply with city specifications. <br />Section 4. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, <br />such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. <br />The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part <br />hereof irrespective of the fact that any one part be declared invalid. <br />Section 5. The repeal or modification of any provision of the Municipal Code <br />of the City of Louisville by this ordinance shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or <br />change in whole or in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or criminal, <br />which shall have been incurred under such provision, and each provision shall be treated <br />and held as still remaining in force for the purpose of sustaining any and all proper <br />actions, suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the enforcement of the penalty, <br />Ordinance No. 1727, Series 2016 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
