City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />July 12, 2016 <br />Page 2of 3 <br /> <br />Discussion 2016 Citizen Survey Results <br /> <br />Morgan Adams of National Research center reviewed results of the 2016 Citizen <br />Survey. There was a 40% response rate. <br /> <br />Overall image was 90% positive <br /> <br />Council member Maloney asked if we had comparisons from previous years of <br />who responded age-wise. Ms. Adams did not have that information available at <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />Residents feel good overall about their community. Residents feel safe. <br /> <br />All responses were higher or much higher than national benchmarks and other <br />Front R <br /> <br />Council member Lipton asked fellow Council members to flag snow removal <br />results to discuss during the budget process. <br /> <br />There was discus <br />appearance/attractiveness. <br /> <br />Maintaining and repairing streets and paving streets is viewed as essential which <br />Council member Lipton views as validation of what Council has been focusing <br />on. <br /> <br />Sustainability results were discussed. Several Council members believe it should <br />be part of the Council goals. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem thanked Ms. Adams for the presentation and feels it will help <br />define Council priorities moving forward. <br /> <br />Council member Leh said there are a lot of things to be thankful for in Louisville. <br />He said the positive comments about staff, while there are a couple areas to <br />work on, show how well everything is going. He said it is fair to say that there is <br />not 100% opposition to building new residential in town, particularly on the west <br />side of town. <br /> <br />Council member Keany said the results show we do not need a social media <br />coordinator. <br /> <br />Council member Stolzmann gave kudos to department heads but asked <br />Directors to look at results for areas to focus on for improvement. Snow removal <br />should be a discussion for Council. She said the Code Enforcement question is <br /> <br />
