City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 30, 2016 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />Members agreed to include some signage as a part of trail projects in the budget, how <br />much will be determined byeach project. Signs should be smaller, less complicated, <br />and less expensive than those originally proposed. Staff should use their judgement to <br />determine what would work and be cost effective. <br />Council had no other comments on Open Space and Parks Fund. <br />Conservation Trust Lottery Fund <br />Council had no comments but reiterated the playground replacement discussion from <br />earlier. <br />Golf Course Fund <br />City Manager Fleming stated the costs shown include finishing the maintenance facility, <br />but he added this will depend on how well the golf revenue comes in. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Lipton asked what the future looks like for the loan the Golf Course <br />Fund owes the Wastewater Fund. Councilmember Stolzmann stated the Finance <br />Committee will be looking at this. Councilmember Maloney agreed a discussion is <br />needed on this, but we need August and September numbers from the golf course first. <br />There were no other comments on the Golf Course Fund. <br />City Manager Fleming recapped the direction he had received thus far on the Capital <br />Projects Fund. Council had no additional comments. <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION/ACTION — SEPTEMBER 6 AND SEPTEMBER 20 CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING START TIMES <br />Members agreed to have the September 6th executive session at the end of the 7 pm <br />meeting and to start the September 20th meeting at 6 pm for the executive session prior <br />to the regular items. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Maloney stated at the Louisville/Superior Joint Interest Committee <br />Superior reported Town Center is being rebranded as Downtown Superior and they <br />hope to extend Marshall Road and put in a rotary on McCaslin at that location. They <br />also want to have a Campus Drive extension over US 36 to Avista Hospital. <br />Councilmember Maloney updated the Council on the status of the impact fee study and <br />noted there will need to be a policy discussion later in the year. <br />ADJOURN <br />
