City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />08/15/16 <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />stated that testing down to the invoice level could be done as time permits to <br />maintain consistency, perhaps for various categories of expenses as an <br />example. <br />The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the <br />August 15, 2016 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />DASHBOARD UPDATE <br />Finance Committee Members asked about the status of the Golf Course and <br />Recreation Center dashboards. <br />City Manager Fleming stated that he believes the data has been gathered but <br />that they are not yet in the proper format. <br />Member Stolzmann asked Finance Director Watson if he could provide the <br />Finance Committee the budget versus projection report he previously created for <br />the Committee while they are waiting on the finished dashboard. Director <br />Watson stated that he would do so. <br />Member Stolzmann stated that the Rec Track software being used by the <br />Recreation Center should be able to generate reports needed to complete the <br />dashboard, and that if it can't, perhaps the system is not sufficient. <br />Finance Committee Member Maloney asked City Manager Fleming if the <br />expectation has been communicated that the dashboards requested be <br />presented to the Finance Committee first. City Manager Fleming stated that it <br />has been conveyed and that it is a matter of devoting the necessary staff time to <br />meet the expectation. <br />NON-PROFIT GRANT PROGRAM <br />Finance Committee Members and staff discussed that new guidelines may need <br />to be created for the grant program. City Manager Fleming stated that the City <br />may be required to request additional information from the applicants. Member <br />Stolzmann stated that future program letters distributed by the City to the <br />applicants may need to be amended. <br />Mayor Muckle stated that he would like to discuss with the City Attorney any <br />options available to the City in changing the City Code.
