L' <br />City of Louisville <br />Youth Advisory Board <br />Youth Advisory Board Attendance Policy/Photo Release <br />Attendance <br />YAB members are expected to attend all regularly schedule meetings, subcommittee meetings and volunteer <br />projects. The YAB has approximately eight regular meetings each school year in addition to the training in the Fall, <br />subcommittee meetings and monthly volunteer projects. Your attendance and participation in meetings and <br />volunteer events is critical to the success of the board. <br />Meetings/Subcommittees: <br />Each member is allowed two excused absences each school year from meetings. <br />An absence is considered excused if the board member notifies a staff liaison in advance* of the meeting/project. <br />More than two absences during the course of a school year will warrant a discussion with the board member, their <br />parents and the YAB liaisons. It may also result in the removal of a member from the board. <br />Volunteer Projects: <br />Volunteer projects are an important component of the Youth Advisory Board. The organizations we commit too <br />expect a positive turnout from our group. <br />Each member is allowed two excused absences each school year from volunteer projects. <br />An absence is considered excused if the board member notifies a staff liaison in advance* of the project. <br />More than two absences during the course of a school year will warrant a discussion with the board member, their <br />parents and the YAB liaisons. <br />*Advanced notice= one day in advance <br />Photo Release <br />I give permission for the City of Louisville to photograph and/or videotape my youth during Youth <br />Advisory Board activities. I understand that there is no compensation paid by the City of Louisville or any <br />other party to my youth, myself and/or any person on behalf of my child with the respect of the usage of <br />my child's images.
