IR7R <br />Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes: Wednesday, September 21, 2016 <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:33 pm by Mark Persichetti. Meeting Minutes <br />taken by Justine Vigil -Tapia <br />a. Roll Call: (Members present in bold): Mary Ann Heaney, Mark Persichetti; Justine Vigil - <br />Tapia; Jamie Bartlett; Marianne Martin, Allison Johanson, Dan Delanhunty, City -Staff Liaison <br />Dave Szabados; City -Council Liaison Jay Keany. <br />b. Approval of Current -Meeting's Agenda: Approved with this change; items III, V and IV on the <br />agenda deferred to future meeting. <br />c. Approval of Meeting Minutes: The minutes from the August17 meeting were updated. Mark will <br />update and forward revised minutes to Kerry. <br />d. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br />Lea Yancey — member of Boulder County Sustainability: <br />• Reminder that applications for Zero -Waste Grant are due December 5 <br />• Sustainability Matching Grant — application available in January (match of 25% required from <br />the city). <br />e. Jay's Minute: No report. <br />f. Dave's Minute: The second meeting for Partners in Energy group is being planned (Dave, Mark). <br />City Council updates provided by Mark: Xcel to start replacing street lights with LEDs (only certain <br />lights for now). Council discussed term -limit discussion for boards and commissions — no decision <br />yet. <br />II. Review of Study Session and Sustainability Plan <br />a. Observation that there is a need for Safety, Security and Sustainability to be grouped together <br />into in a city staff position. Need role defined and have it as a leadership position. <br />b. Discussion on feedback from council — what to include in plan document and what to include in <br />matrix. <br />c. Be mindful of use of mandate language in the plan and trigger items. Change the wording to <br />move to "reduce" the use of single -use items for example bags, beverage bottles, etc. <br />d. LSAB Goal — finalize the plan and submit it for adoption. The matrix would be a separate <br />reference document. <br />e. Budget discussion — how to get a sustainability coordinator position funded (grants, intern, etc.). <br />f.
