He also felt any items the city purchased should come from local vendors. <br />Concerning the city raising the water rates, he felt the rates were high enough. He asked what <br />happened to the city's project of paving the alleys. <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that there are three alleys that are part of this year's paving <br />project. If weather permits, they will pave them. If not, they would be carried over to 1995. <br /> <br />Davidson explained that he had already instructed the Acting City Administrator to stop buying <br />snacks. The city has a written bidding process and preference is given to city vendors. <br /> <br />Davidson called for anyone else wishing to speak. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br /> NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Lathrop commended Public Works and Building Inspection Departments, and Wycon Construction <br />for getting Pine Street reopened.
