RESOLUTION NO. 70 <br />SERIES 2016 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR <br />THE LOUISVILLE HOSPITAL LOCATED AT 721 GRANT AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a preservation and restoration grant for <br />the Louisville Hospital, a historic residential structure located at 721 Grant Avenue, on <br />property legally described as Lot 4 and 5, Block 8, Pleasant Hill Addition, Town of <br />Louisville, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission have <br />reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 3.20.605.D and <br />Section 15.36.120 of the Louisville Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly <br />noticed public hearing on the proposed Preservation and Restoration grant application and <br />has recommended the request be forwarded to the Louisville City Council with a <br />recommendation of approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed Preservation and <br />Restoration grant application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and <br />has held a properly noticed public hearing on the application; and <br />WHEREAS, the work being requested for the Louisville Hospital is found to be an <br />extraordinary circumstance and eligible for funding beyond the maximum grant amounts as <br />outlined in City Council Resolution No. 2, Series 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds the proposed improvements will assist in the <br />preservation of the Louisville Hospital, a local historic landmark. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the Preservation and Restoration <br />Grant Application for sewer work at the Black Family House located at 725 Lincoln <br />Avenue, subject to the following: <br />1. Approved items are those in the proposed scope of work presented to City <br />Council totaling $73,436.50. <br />2.
