Call to Order- Helen called the meeting to order at 6:55 pm. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call- <br /> Board Members Present: Helen Moshak, Laura Scott Denton, Linda Smith, Missy <br /> Davis, Spencer Guthrie, Mike Schantz, Graeme Patterson, Christopher Smith <br /> Board Members Absent: none <br /> City Council Members Present: Jeff Lipton <br /> Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Joe Stevens, Allan Gill, Catherine <br /> Jepson <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda- <br /> Linda moved to approve the agenda as written. Chris seconded. The motion <br />was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Previous Meeting’s Minutes- <br /> Mike asked for clarification about the City of Lafayette’s COGO grant. He wasn’t <br />sure from the minutes whether Lafayette had already received the grant or was merely in <br />consideration for it. The board reported that at the time of the meeting, Lafayette’s grant <br />application had made it past the initial round, and was on a very short list of cities in <br />contention. Ember added that since the meeting Lafayette had been award the grant. <br />The board decided not to change the way the minutes were written. <br /> Missy commented that the meeting minutes are very detailed and she was <br />concerned that the detail may come at the expense of the secretary’s verbal <br />participation. <br /> Linda moved to approve the minutes as written. Spencer seconded. The motion <br />was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />V. Staff Updates- <br /> A. The Ranger Policy and Procedures Manual is finished and Ember passed a <br />copy of the manual around. Joe and the Chief of Police have both signed-off on it. <br /> B. Ember commented that the ranger’s study session with City Council went well. <br /> C. Staff is working with PD to create a databank of property access points for <br />vehicles and known problem spots on Open Space, Golf and Parks properties, to help <br />with emergency responses. They will also add formal street addresses to these spots, <br />so Boulder County dispatch can reference those addresses on their computer system. <br />This should also help in the future for calculating how often PD and Ranger are <br />dispatched to issues occurring on our public lands. <br />3
