Liquors. That may change in the
future, but as of right now, this
application, he is the owner of
record. It is not permitted to own
two liquor stores. Should he
transfer this to his wife for some
unknown amount, has there been
sufficient evidence given that he
will not have an indirect financial
relationship to that business. He's
selling it to his wife. Some shares
are being given to Ron Trujillo's
wife who is. the manager of Firehouse
Liquors. Ron is now the current
manager. His wife is taking over as
manager should this license be
granted. I do believe that I read
in the law that even the manager is
not permitted to have a direct or
indirect financial interest in
another store. Has there been a
divestment or are we switching wives
and licenses and we're going to put
the two stores together? The reason
this law is on the books is to
prevent chain stores from
dismantling the system by knocking
the "Moms & Pops" out of business.
If they have the wherewithal they
could conceivably come back and
place liquor stores all over this
town with as many relatives as they
wanted. The survey itself is trash.
There is no method to it. They go
out and they get the results that
they need to. I don't feel that
shuffling in 25 of your closest
neighbors, friends and relatives is
sufficient, evidence to show that
there is a need and desire of this
community.

Davidson asked if the applicant or anyone in the audience had any
questions for Mr. Fyne.

NONE

Davidson asked if the Authority had any questions for Mr. Fyne.

NONE

Fyne:

Councilman Mayer asked how many

32
