ORDINANCE NO. 1348 SERIES 2000 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE A NEW MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTION OF SUCH CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED IN THE CODE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF AMENDING THE CODE; AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. WHEREAS, City Staff and the Municipal Code Corporation have prepared a new codification of the general and permanent ordinances of the City of Louisville, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt the new municipal code pursuant to the procedures set forth in Part 2 of Articles 16, Title 31, Colorado Revised Statutes; and WHEREAS, the City Council after proper notice as required by law and published in the Boulder Daily Camera on October 21 and 28, 2000, has held a public heanng on this ordinance providing for the adoption of the new Louisville Municipal Code NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. The Code entitled the "Louisville Municipal Code 1999," published by Municipal Code Corporation and consisting of titles 1 through 17; the tables and indices thereto; and appendices A, B and C to Chapter 17.28 (the City of Louisville Commercial Development Design Standards and Guidelines; the Design Handbook for Downtown Louisville; and the City of Louisville Industrial Development Design Standards and Guidelines), each inclusive (the "Code"), and supplements 1, 2 and 3 of such Code, is hereby adopted. Section 2. All ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted on or before March 7, 2000, and not included in the Code or recognized and continued in force by reference therein, are repealed. Section 3. The Code includes certain substantive changes and additions to the general and permanent ordinances of the City of Louisville enacted on or before March 7, 2000 Such substantive changes are set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and shall be published as required by C.R.S. § 31-16-204. Non -substantive changes to the same shall be posted in the office of the City Clerk The following, additional amendments are also hereby made to the Code as published: Section 2.04.010. Officers Appointment and removal, is amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are stricken).
