like to seek "cash in lieu of" for
our park dedication.

Howard asked the Planning Commission representative
clarification on the rational of the Planning Commission for
recommending "cash in lieu of".

for

Ron Weber, Chairman/Planning Commission,
Louisville, CO.

1445 Truman Court,

Weber:

We really had a long debate over the
"cash in lieu of" concept. The way
in which the initial proposal had
been placed in total did not provide
itself ..... We had a detention pond
which was proposed. It was not
providing itself with a sufficient
area into which we could really see
a park dedication come in. We all
came to an agreement that we felt
that "cash in lieu of" was a better
solution for this area than trying
to bring in a park situation.

Mayer:

So the recommendation for the "cash
in lieu of" was really for the whole
31 acres as opposed to this three
acres here?

Weber:

No. We looked at the entire
picture, but now we had to look at
this as a specific. There is a
large detention pond and we did
discuss that to some extent, but we
didn't want to get into that at this
time, because we felt it was outside
the realm. We felt that part of
this whole process has to be dealt
with when that part comes in. We
did make some statements to the
developers that they had to bear in
mind that they will be coming back
at a later date and they would have
to be going through much of the
process again. At this point we
were trying to deal with this small
portion and come back at a later
time with the major portion as a
separate entity.

Mayer:

Susan, is there an agreement that we
could worked out where we could
