PointE:d out area 3, the CTC, for trails. He asks OSAB to
review the goals and give edits to be updated for 2008 Comp plan. These can
incorporate a map of future trails also. She also showed us what the current signage in the area says.
Larry suggested a new bullet; point for the sign noting this is Open Space and
users are not to move natural resources. Tom suggested a second point for
seasonal closures as listed on the flyer. These extra bullet points would be
applied with a sticker. Ember looking into an enclosed box to have flyers
available for people in they dog area. Truman suggested moving trashcan next to
trail instead of off trail andl thereby increasing the area of traffic. He also
reminded staff that marking the trail during winter would keep people on track
and not cause further distress around the trail. He asked about revegetating the
regular trail area, but Ember said it is very difficult when prairie dog colonies are
present. This area and Dauclhenbaugh are top priorities for prairie dog
management. She also noted there has been some illegal parking and she will
ask Chief Goodman to start Enforcing the area.
Discussion Items for Next Meeting
1. Gateway Open Space
2.
