All work shall conform to applicable city and county codes. Contractor shall <br />verify location of all existing underground utilities, lines and structures prior to <br />excavation or trenching. Damage to these existing elements shall be repaired <br />by the contractor at no cost to the owner or landscape architect. <br />2. All tree and shrub locations to be staked by the contractor and approved by the <br />landscape architect before installation. Contractor must provide a minimum 24 <br />hour notice to the landscape architects before a site visit is required. <br />3. All shrub beds and sod areas shall receive the following soil amendments per <br />1,000 s.f.: 3 CY of Supreme Compost as provided by Jenson Sales (303/791- <br />9250) or approved equal and 15 lbs. of 20-10-5 commercial fertilizer. <br />4. Steel edger shall be 3/16" thick x 4" wide, Ryerson or approved equal. <br />5. A spaded edge, 6" in depth, shall be utilized around plantings located in native <br />seed areas. Apply pre -emergent herbicide within the spaded edge bed, being <br />careful to avoid overspray, and place 1'/" of pole peeling mulch within edged <br />area. <br />6. All shrub beds except those in native areas are to be mulched with 1'/z' crushed <br />granite mulch to a depth of 3', over Dupont `Typar' landscape fabric or approved <br />equal. Submit sample for approval. <br />7. - Plant backfill mix shall be: 1/3 supreme compost or approved equal <br />2/3 on-site soil <br />8. Sod areas are to be a mixture of 3 types of bluegrass sod. Submit grower's <br />analysis to landscape architect for approval prior to installation. <br />9. Graphic plant symbols shall preside over written plant quantities. <br />p <br />10.
