Lay sod 1/2" (from top of <br />blades) lower than adjacent paving grade or edger except in <br />the center of.a swale where drainage would be impeded. <br />2. Separate turf from shrub beds with staked 3/16" x 4" steel <br />edger. Plant all shrub beds prior to installation of edger. <br />Separate perennial mix beds from shrub beds with staked 3/16" <br />x 4" steel edger. <br />3. Any plant substitutions are to be approved by Landscape <br />Architect prior to installation. <br />4. Install 3" - 8" diameter washed river cobble over geotextile <br />fabric where noted on plan; no fabric is to be visible. <br />Excavate soil where neclssary to keep cobble beds no more than <br />1" above finished grade. Rock selection to be approved by <br />Landscape Architect prior to installation. Arrange large <br />cobble in linear bands with smaller rock surrounding and <br />keying large cobble. (oto weed barrier or cobble is to be <br />installed in perennial ix beds. <br />5. Install boulders where 'oted on plan. Bury boulders by 1/4 <br />(min.) and place in a naturalistic manner under direction of <br />Landscape Architect. Boulders to be moss rock and a minimum <br />of Q 1/2 tons. <br />• <br />6. Soil preparation shall consist of composted aspen humus and <br />"composted manure each applied at a rate of 2 cu. yds. per 1000 <br />• sq. ft. (4 cu. yd. per 1000 sq. ft. total), and tilled to a <br />depth of 6" - 9". <br />7. Topsoil to be stripped and stockpiled from site and respread <br />in landscape areas. Topsoil to be installed at 4" min. depth. <br />Additional topsoil needed beyond that stockpiled to be <br />provided by contractor. <br />8. All sod to be watered using an underground automatic spray <br />irrigation system. All trees, shrubs, and groundcover to be <br />watered using an underground.automatic spray, bubbler, or drip <br />irrigation system, as selected by Owner. <br />9. Contractor shall clear and grub the area within the specified <br />limits of landscape construction. Debris, vegetation, roots <br />and other materials not suitable for backfill shall be removed <br />from the site and disposed of by the contractor. <br />10. Grading operations shall include shaping and grading of site <br />and necessary drainage swales. All areas shall be shaped and <br />graded in the field for positive drainage away from paved <br />surfaces or foundations. Dyer Road Frontage, Proposed Roadway <br />Frontage and rear buffer zone to be bermed to provide berms in <br />the general configuration outlined on the plan. Berms to have <br />4:1 slopes with 2' level top in general. Height of berms to be <br />3' where space allows. <br />11. Basemap information was derived from architectural site plans <br />prepared by Joseph R. Hewgley Associates. <br />12.
