Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 16, 2017 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />• won't deal with land use or transport, but how the areas will be built <br />from a form standpoint, where the building is placed other building <br />guidelines that will effect things like transport. how the buildings <br />relate to the streets so people can walk/bike. not changing things like <br />density or heights. <br />• Mary Ann asked about transportation master plan... doesn't seem like it's on their <br />radar for this year. <br />o next opportunity is 2019 based on budgeting process. <br />o they do have some plans that could be worked on if some money comes up <br />o There is a statewide transportation tax potentially coming up that would <br />send some $$ to local governments <br />• MA- what's the plan for the open space/parks master plan stuff? <br />o there's a public land dedication requirement, 15% residential and 12% for <br />nonresidential <br />• Would LSAB members be available to review the planning applications on the <br />website? <br />• He recs spending time reviewing their design guidelines... maybe provide input into <br />these. this can include landscaping, transport, water management. <br />• **mentioned that previous city couldn't get a green building code, but made an <br />optional version where builder could get a rebate back from city on permits (a % <br />back) after they build and show completion of green initiatives. <br />III. Rec Center <br />• open house on 25MAR <br />• last meeting, goals is to build for LEED Gold, not to certify at this point, maybe in the <br />future. <br />• are going to review some mechanical options in sustainability <br />• Dave said there will be a model done of the actual building... hopefully in a couple <br />weeks. <br />• RJ said there is actual data available in Boulder city website <br />IV. Rotating Chair <br />Straw poll - 5 in favor, 1 nonvoter, 1 absent <br />Next month... we will push this to front of meeting, we will officially vote on changing the <br />bylaws and them immediately vote for a permanent chair. <br />V.
