City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />04/17/17 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />Tax Manager Penney Bolte presented the sales tax reports for the month ended <br />February 28, 2017 to the Finance Committee. Ms. Bolte noted an unexpected <br />dip in lodging related tax revenues for the month, but commented that more <br />meaningful trends for the year would be reflected in next months' quarterly <br />reports. <br />Finance Director Watson informed the Finance Committee Members that the <br />geographic review and designation of areas included in the Intergovernmental <br />Agreement for revenue sharing with the Town of Superior had been completed, <br />and that the City received its first payment in the amount of $11K which <br />represents revenue in the area for the last part of 4th Q 2016. Mr. Watson stated <br />that ongoing revenues will be reflected in the IGA accounts and not included as <br />part of the Sales Tax Reports. <br />The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the April <br />17, 2017 Finance Committee Meeting. <br />LIST OF BILLS SCHEDULED FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL ON APRIL 18, 2017 <br />Kevin Watson, Finance Director presented the Finance Committee the list of bills <br />to be approved by City Council April 18, 2017. <br />Finance Committee Member Stolzmann asked City Manager Fleming if the tree - <br />trimming related bills will decrease since the City has purchased a bucket. <br />Manager Fleming stated that certain expenses would decrease, but that the City <br />will continue to contract out trimming of the largest trees. <br />The list of bills can be located in the packet of the April 17, 2017 Finance <br />Committee Meeting. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING <br />The next regular Finance Committee Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 15, <br />2017 at 7:30 a.m. <br />Items scheduled for discussion at the next meeting include: <br />• Preliminary Draft of 2017 Budget Amendment <br />• Financial Statements for the Month Ended April 30, 2017 <br />• Sales Tax Report for the Quarter Ended March 31, 2017 <br />• Cash & Investment Report as of April 30, 2017 <br />• List of Bills <br />ADJOURN <br />6 <br />
